Preparing for installation includes mowing the lawn to assist with debris cleanup and moving vehicles to make room for materials. Outdoor furniture should be covered, fragile items should be secured, and pets should be accommodated due to noise and vibrations.
The removal phase is the loudest part of the process. The old roofing system is stripped down to the plywood decking. Gutters, solar panels, vents, and underlayment are removed, and any necessary repairs are fixed before installation begins.
The first layers include top-tier waterproofing materials such as Owens Corning® WeatherLock® Mat Ice & Water Barrier and ProArmor® Synthetic Underlayment. Once secured, shingles or metal roofing is installed along with custom flashings and ridge caps to complete the system.
A detailed cleanup follows including the removal of tarps and debris, material collection, and a final inspection. We then do a magnet sweep to get rid of stray nails and staples from the property.
For insurance-covered replacements, final paperwork is processed, and depreciation payments are completed. Manufacturer warranties are registered, the final invoice is given, and a Certificate of Completion is provided to close out the project.

Luke and Josh with Ark Roofer saved my butt! They jousted with the insurance company and got them to pay up. I can’t recommend them enough.
Josh came to my house and gave me a free inspection. He discovered lots of problems I missed when I was on the roof myself. Luke, the owner, got involved once it became clear my situation was a little bit difficult.
They worked with my insurance company to modify the first estimate, which was about 10k short due to the insurance company grossly underestimating costs such as to remove and replace my solar panels.
When it came time to do the re-roof, Ark Roofer worked with our schedule. Keeping the wife happy…Second time they saved my butt!
