Community Impact featured Ark Roofer this May. Reporter Jillian Nachtigal sat down with our founder, Luke Secora. She wanted to know why a fourth-generation contractor would start his own Georgetown roofing company instead of selling roofs for somebody else. His reason was simple. He didn’t like what he saw in this business.
From His Dad’s Paint Crew to His Own Name on the Sign
Luke grew up on job sites. He painted houses for his dad. He helped remodel kitchens and baths. On weekends, he ran his own small painting business. He’s the fourth generation in his family to work in the trades.
Then he spent a year selling roofs for another company. He saw how some roofers treat homeowners. Pushy pitches at the front door. Crews that leave town before the first leak shows up. In 2018, he started Ark to be the opposite of all that.

The Line From the Article We’d Hang on the Wall
The article says Ark set out to raise the bar in “a roofing industry that is often driven by pressure rather than transparency.” That one line sums up how we work. Every inspection is free. Nobody from Ark will camp on your porch until you sign something. And if your roof has five more good years in it, we’ll tell you so.
We’ve protected more than 1,750 homes in Williamson County that way. The full article takes about two minutes to read. Read it on Community Impact’s site.
Thanks to Jillian and the Community Impact team for telling it right. If hail got your roof this year, or you just want honest eyes on it, call Ark Roofer at 512-948-1638. The inspection is free. No pressure. That’s kind of our whole thing.
