The 5 Best Roofing Companies in Cedar Park, TX (2026 Guide)
The short answer
The five best roofing companies in Cedar Park for 2026 are Ark Roofer, KangaRoof, Texas Traditions Roofing, APEX Roofing and Longhorn Roofing. We scored 19 companies on BBB records, manufacturer tier, Google reviews, local roots and written warranties. All five have a BBB A+ with zero complaints in three years. Every number was checked on September 24, 2026.
On the evening of May 28, 2025, hail the size of chicken eggs fell on Cedar Park for about 20 minutes. Storm spotters logged 2-inch stones a mile from the city center. Twelve days earlier, Leander took 3-inch hail. And three years ago today, on September 24, 2023, the costliest hailstorm in Austin history dropped tennis balls on Brushy Creek and did about $300 million in damage in Williamson County alone.
So if you own a home in Cedar Park, you will need a roofer at some point. Probably sooner than you would like.
Here is the part nobody warns you about. Most Texas home policies now carry a 2 percent wind and hail deductible. On a $470,000 house, which is about the median in Cedar Park right now, that is roughly $9,400 out of your own pocket before insurance pays a dime. An average shingle roof here runs $10,000 to $11,000. So the claim you file may cover less of the bill than you think, and the roofer you pick is a real $10,000 decision.
Picking one is harder than it should be. Angi lists 831 roofers for Cedar Park. Texas doesn’t license roofing contractors, so anyone with a truck and a ladder can bid on your house. And the four “best roofers in Cedar Park” lists on page one of Google name four different sets of companies, with almost no overlap between them. That isn’t a ranking. That is a coin flip.
Full disclosure before we go any further: this is Ark Roofer’s blog, and yes, we put ourselves at number one. We also put four competitors on this list with their real numbers, pulled from the BBB, Google, and the manufacturer directories on September 24, 2026. If one of them fits your roof better than we do, call them. We would rather lose the job than watch you hire a storm chaser.

Checked September 24, 2026. Google counts come from each company's GAF or Birdeye review feed, which can lag Google Maps by a few days. BBB complaints cover the last three years.
How we ranked them
We started with 19 companies that show up when you search for roofers in Cedar Park, then scored each one on five things. In order of weight:
- BBB record. Letter grade, whether they are accredited, and how many complaints closed in the last three years. A single unanswered complaint knocked one Cedar Park company off the list entirely.
- Manufacturer certification tier. GAF Master Elite and Owens Corning Platinum Preferred are the top rung each manufacturer offers. To hold one, a company has to prove insurance, pass a track-record review, and keep up with training. A lower tier or a bare 'we install GAF' doesn't count the same.
- Google reviews. Both the rating and the count, and we read the one-star reviews, not the average alone.
- Local roots. An office you can drive to within 20 minutes of Cedar Park, and years spent working here. Storm chasers don't have either.
- Range and warranty. Whether they handle metal, tile, flat, and commercial roofs, whether they help with insurance claims, and how long the written workmanship warranty runs.
We only counted a claim if we could confirm it somewhere other than the company’s own website. That rule cost a few companies their spot.
Why Ark holds number one: we are the only company in the five that holds a top-tier manufacturer status and an RCAT license at the same time, and our BBB record has been clean since we were accredited in 2019. The fair pushback is that we are the youngest company on the list, and KangaRoof and APEX both have more reviews than we do. You will see that in the table. We would rather say it than have you find it.
Ark Roofer
That's usBest for: Hail and wind claims, whole-exterior jobs, and hot upstairs rooms
What they do: Shingle, metal, and Brava tile and slate roofs, plus repairs, gutters, James Hardie siding, exterior painting, attic ventilation, and commercial TPO. Insurance claim help is the core of the business. Crews are in Cedar Park most days.
Ark was founded in 2018 by Luke Secora, a fourth-generation contractor, and now runs about 25 employees out of Georgetown. In seven years it has picked up the credentials that took some competitors decades. It is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, which is the highest tier Owens Corning gives out. It holds RCAT license 03-0484, the closest thing Texas has to a real roofing license. And at the 2025 Owens Corning Platinum Conference it took home a Top Performer MVP award. The BBB has it at A+, accredited since 2019, with zero complaints on file.
The thing that sets Ark apart on a hail claim is the ArkCertified inspection. A rep walks the ground, gets on the roof, then goes into the attic to check decking, rafters, and ventilation. You get a live link with more than 100 photos and video sent to your phone while they are still on site. The report identifies your exact existing shingle for like-kind replacement, which is the detail adjusters argue about. It costs nothing and you owe nothing. Installs come with a 5-year workmanship guarantee on top of Owens Corning’s Platinum Protection warranty, and financing runs through 17 lenders with a soft credit pull.
“They had great customer service, told me exactly what to expect and worked directly with the insurance company to get me everything I was entitled to receive. Once they took over I never had to deal with the insurance company again.” Becky H., Google review
Strengths
- The only company in the five holding a top-tier manufacturer status and an RCAT license at the same time
- ArkCertified inspection identifies your exact existing shingle for like-kind replacement, the detail adjusters argue about
- 5-year workmanship guarantee on top of Owens Corning's Platinum Protection warranty, and financing through 17 lenders with a soft credit pull
Keep in mind
- Youngest company on this list
- 562 reviews is fewer than KangaRoof or APEX have. Ark's spot rests on credentials and complaint record, not tenure
KangaRoof
Best for: A second opinion on a roof somebody else already condemned, and large multi-building jobs
What they do: Residential and commercial roofing, metal, gutters, garage doors, insurance claims, and financing. Based on Sam Bass Road, about 15 minutes east of Cedar Park on 1431.
KangaRoof is the Feller family’s company. Scott Feller started it (the company says 1992; the BBB file opened in 2000) and Stacie Feller runs it today under the KangaRoof name they adopted in 2017. It is a GAF Master Elite contractor with President’s Club status, the top of GAF’s ladder. It is also a FORTIFIED Roof installer, which matters if your insurer discounts for that standard. The BBB rates them A+ with zero complaints. On Google they sit at 4.8 stars across 842 reviews, the biggest review pile on this list. They also keep a dedicated Cedar Park service page, so this isn’t a stretch market for them.
“After being told by another company that I needed a full roof replacement, I contacted this company for a second opinion. Peter was honest, professional, and incredibly thorough.” Kristin Youngblood, Google review
Strengths
- Biggest review pile on this list, 842 on Google at 4.8
- FORTIFIED Roof installer, which matters if your insurer discounts for that standard
- A dedicated Cedar Park service page, so this isn't a stretch market for them
Keep in mind
- BBB accreditation only dates to December 2024
- Workmanship warranty length isn't published. The site advertises a money-back guarantee instead. Ask for the years in writing
Texas Traditions Roofing
Best for: Staying put for 20 years with a labor warranty to prove it, or solar shingles
What they do: Residential and commercial roofing, solar shingles, repairs, and financing. Based on Cedar Drive in Georgetown.
Mike Pickel and Gary Emory started Texas Traditions in 2014, and in eleven years it has earned GAF Master Elite, President’s Club status, the same top rung KangaRoof holds. Google has them at 4.9 stars on 428 reviews. The BBB grades them A+ with zero complaints. The headline number, though, is the warranty: depending on the roof system you buy, they will put up to a 25-year labor warranty in writing. Nobody else on this list comes close. Their Cedar Park page names Twin Creeks, Avery Ranch, Buttercup Creek, and Travisso as regular territory, and the company says it has been named Georgetown’s Best Roofer three years running.
“Cole Dunaway was excellent! I needed a minor repair and it was completed the next day at a very reasonable price.” Brad Pharr, posted on the company’s Cedar Park page
Strengths
- Up to a 25-year labor warranty in writing, depending on the system. Nobody else here comes close
- Cedar Park page names Twin Creeks, Avery Ranch, Buttercup Creek and Travisso as regular territory
- 4.9 stars on 428 reviews with a clean BBB file
Keep in mind
- Not BBB accredited. Accreditation is voluntary and paid, so a small point, but our rubric counts it and it is why they land at three instead of two
APEX Roofing
Best for: Tile, flat, or mixed-material roofs, and a big review history to read before you sign
What they do: Residential and commercial roofing, metal, tile, flat roofs, solar, insurance claims, and financing. Based on Williams Drive in Georgetown, with a second office in Marble Falls.
Michael and Connie Cochran opened APEX in 2014. Today it has more Google reviews than any other Georgetown roofer, 4.9 stars on 663 Google reviews. It also holds a 4.8 on 209 independent GuildQuality surveys, where 95 percent of customers said they would recommend the company. The BBB has them A+ and accredited since 2016 with zero complaints. Every install carries a written 10-year workmanship warranty. Got something other than plain shingle? Standing seam, clay tile, a flat TPO section over the garage. APEX is one of the few local shops that does all three.
“Apex Roofing sent Jeff out to our house and he was great. He had a great personality and was knowledgeable.” David B., Cedar Park, GuildQuality survey
Strengths
- More Google reviews than any other Georgetown roofer, 663 at 4.9
- 4.8 on 209 independent GuildQuality surveys, where 95 percent said they would recommend the company
- One of the few local shops that does standing seam, clay tile and flat TPO
Keep in mind
- Listed manufacturer credential is IKO ROOFPRO, not a top-tier GAF or Owens Corning status. That is the only reason a company with 663 reviews and a clean record sits at four
Longhorn Roofing
Best for: A plain shingle replacement from a company that was here before Cedar Park had a Costco
What they do: Residential shingle roofs and standing-seam metal. That is the whole menu, on purpose. Based in Avery Ranch, off Parmer Lane, which is closer to most Cedar Park homes than any other company here.
Eddie Latham founded Longhorn in 1985 and Tom Green has owned it since 2008. The BBB has accredited them since 1989, which is the longest clean record of anyone on this list, with zero complaints in the file. They are an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, one tier below Platinum, and they appear in the RCAT contractor directory. Google has them at 4.9 stars on 104 reviews, and the rating holds at 4.9 across 151 reviews once you fold in Facebook and the BBB. Longhorn doesn’t do commercial and doesn’t do tile. It replaces shingle roofs in Cedar Park, Round Rock, and northwest Austin, and it was doing exactly that before the first house went up in Twin Creeks.
“My experience with Longhorn Roofing was excellent. Joe was great; Laura was great; and the men who installed my roof were superhuman!” Jon Eric Narum, Google review
If you need commercial, tile, or gutters, you will be calling someone else too.
Strengths
- Office off Parmer Lane, closer to most Cedar Park homes than any other company here
- The longest clean BBB record on this list, accredited since 1989
- A small office instead of a sales team
Keep in mind
- 104 Google reviews is the smallest count on the list, and the workmanship warranty length isn't published
- No commercial, tile or gutters. Shingle and standing seam is the whole menu, on purpose

Five good companies, five different strengths. Match the job to the shop and you will save yourself two or three wasted estimates.

| You plan to stay 20-plus years and want the labor warranty to prove it | Texas Traditions (up to 25 years) | APEX (10 years) |

One honest note on the last row. No roofer on this list will “cover” your deductible, and if one you call offers to, keep reading.

Free ArkCertified inspection in Cedar Park
A rep walks the ground, gets on the roof, checks the attic, and sends more than 100 photos and video to your phone while they are still in your driveway. If the roof is fine, we will tell you it is fine.
Book a Cedar Park inspectionHow to vet any Cedar Park roofer in 15 minutes
Maybe you got a card on your door from someone who isn’t on this list. That is fine. Texas hail reports were down about 70 percent in the first half of 2026, which means every roofer in the state is hungry, and the ones who follow storms from town to town are hungriest of all. Before you sign anything, run these seven checks.
- Look them up on RCAT. Texas has no state roofing license. The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas runs a voluntary one that requires two years in business, a passed exam, and at least $300,000 in liability coverage. Ask for the license number, then search it yourself.
- Get the insurance certificate from the insurer, not the roofer. A PDF from the contractor can be last year’s policy. Ask them to have their agent email it to you directly.
- Walk away from anyone who offers to “waive” or “cover” your deductible. Since September 1, 2019, that is a Class B misdemeanor under Texas HB 2102. Your insurer can also hold the final payment until you prove you paid it. TDI’s plain-English version is here.
- Drive past their office. Every company on this list has a street address within 20 minutes of Cedar Park. Storm chasers rent a mailbox.
- Get the workmanship warranty in writing, with a number of years on it. The manufacturer warranty covers the shingles. The workmanship warranty covers the crew that nailed them down, and it is the one that pays when the roof leaks in year three.
- Never sign your insurance check over to a contractor, and never pay in full up front. That is straight from the Texas Attorney General.
- Ask about Class 4 shingles. UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated shingles hold up better to hail, and some Texas insurers discount for them. TDI recommends asking. Given what fell on Cedar Park in May 2025, it is worth the upcharge.
One Cedar Park quirk: the city doesn’t require a permit for a non-structural re-roof. So “we pull all our permits” isn’t proof of much here. The seven checks above are.
